THE WRITER'S BRUSH

The Writer’s Brush is an exhibition based on Donald Friedman’s book The Writer’s Brush: Paintings, Drawings, and Sculpture by Writers coming out in September 2007 published by Mid-list Press, distributed by Random House. The show curated by Donald Friedman includes more than 180 unique works by 97 of the world most celebrated writers who were also artists. The exhibit affords the public an opportunity to view never before seen expressions of the writerartists from private collections.
It includes astounding works by Walter Abish, Rafael Alberti, Roberta Allen, A.R. Ammons, John Ashbery, Enid Bagnold, Amiri Baraka, Djuna Barnes, Julian Beck, Andrei Bely, Elizabeth Bishop, Jorge L.
